I see my beauty in a photograph
It gets foggy in the mirrored glass
I feel the sun at my back
It’s better than not at all
Didn’t know how good it was
No one said it only happened once
No one said it wouldn’t last forever
I wouldn’t have heard anyway

In the moment it was mundane
But memory has a windowpane
With all the colours of cathedral stain
And a light that lets it glow
Looking back through older eyes
I hope to god it could happen twice
I hope to god it could last forever
Or even just a day

Did I change too much?

We were sitting in the park
A million years after dark
A since disgraced indie star
Singing out of some cheap box
Time seemed to move so slow
